Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The biggest surprise of round 6 was guest San Salvador's (4-1) road victory over Cojute (#4) 79-76 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cojute. The best player for the winners was power forward Brayan Garcia (194-1998) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists. point guard Kevin Saravia (165-2002) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Jeremy Agosto (177-1997) who recorded 27 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. San Salvador moved-up to second place. Cojute at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Salvadorenos.
Undefeated leader A.Lobos delivered the fifth consecutive victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Ahuachapan (0-5) 98-77. It was a good game for American forward Sean Scott (190-1997, college: Pfeiffer) who led his team to a victory with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Marc Montavious contributed with 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American-Colombian center Freddy Asprilla (206-1988, college: Canisius) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks for Ahuachapan. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. A.Lobos have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record. Ahuachapan at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost.
The game in Santa Ana supposed to be also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Salvadorenos (3-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Santa Ana (1-3). Salvadorenos smashed Santa Ana 93-55 on Sunday. Michael Parra had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 22 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners. The best for the losing side was Joe Araujo with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Salvadorenos moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Cojute. Loser Santa Ana dropped to the eighth position with three games lost.

In the last two games of round 6 Santa Tecla was crushed by Metapan in a road game 98-77. Independiente was beaten by Brujos at home 78-92.
The best stats of 6th round was 36 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 6 assists by Andravious Smith of Independiente.




Metapan - Santa Tecla 98-77

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Santa Tecla (1-4) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Metapan (3-1) 98-77 on Friday. Metapan forced 23 Santa Tecla turnovers and had a 21-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Metapan looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Puerto Rican forward Xavier Zambrana (193-1991) had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) chipped in 30 points and 19 rebounds during the contest. Four Metapan players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Honduran Francisco Forbs (198-1999) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and forward Alejandro Barahona (189-1999) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Metapan have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser Santa Tecla keeps the ninth position with four games lost.

A.Lobos dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Ahuachapan's 44 and made 22-of-25 charity shots (88.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American forward Sean Scott (190-1997, college: Pfeiffer) who led his team to a victory with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). The other American import center Marc Montavious (206-1990, college: Georgetown, KY) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. The game in Santa Ana supposed to be also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Salvadorenos (3-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Santa Ana (1-3). Salvadorenos smashed Santa Ana 93-55 on Sunday. Salvadorenos dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Santa Ana's 20. They outrebounded Santa Ana 57-32 including a 44-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Independiente - Brujos 78-92

There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Brujos (2-3) defeated on the road 5th ranked Independiente (2-3) 92-78 on Sunday. Brujos forced 24 Independiente turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Oliver Ferrerira scored 30 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Marcus Millien (188-2000, college: Carlow) chipped in 32 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Brujos' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American swingman Andravious Smith (198-1995, college: Tougaloo) with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import Nick Moore (198-1991, college: Alliance) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds. Four Independiente players scored in double figures. Brujos moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Independiente. Independiente lost third consecutive game.
